2018 Mixed Half Dozen

The 2018 Mixed Half Dozen provides a tasting of the 2018 vintage with two bottles of the 2018 Chardonnay, two of the 2018 Pinot Noir and two of the 2018 Shiraz. The 2018 Mixed Half Dozen provides the excellent opportunity to sample Yow Yow's finest from the 2018 vintage.

Winemaker's Notes:
Elegant white nectarine and citrus characters, supported by subtle notes of oatmeal, hazelnut, and toasty oak, providing mid-palate generosity, softness and complexity. Picked on 27 February from our Hill block and fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak, of which 22% were new.

Pairs Well With:
Poultry, pork, rich seafood and creamy dishes.

Winemaker's Notes:
Red and dark cherries, summer berries, with spicy wholebunch characters providing freshness and perfume, with fine suede-like tannins driving through the palate. Fermented with 33% whole bunches and matured for 10 months in small French barrels, of which 31% were new.

Game, mushroom, oregano.

Winemaker's Notes:
A heady mix of powerful red and blue fruits, subtle peppery spice, and the 45% whole bunches in the ferment providing freshness and perfume. There is tremendous fruit presence and generosity on the mid-palate, finishing with elegance and poise. Matured for 10 months in small French oak barrels, of which 18% were new.

Red meats, hazelnut.
